    It’s All in the Details!

     

    Who said “don’t sweat the small stuff”? Without the subtle detail, surprises and delights, projects can fall flat. You need a team that knows just what it takes to make them special, embraces the “small stuff” and loves getting into the nitty gritty.

    Real life examples of what could go wrong:

    Issue: Appliance barn in kitchen has no power source integrated.

    Cause: Builder, cabinetry group and electrician all overlooked this critical detail!

    Solution: JH Designs “specs” a Quad Box, which brings four standard 15A-125V U-Ground outlets to this area. Now you can easily plug in your Kitchen Aid, blender, toaster, etc.

    Issue: Gorgeous custom cabinetry & shelving, in deep walnut stain, to display stemware & beautiful pieces of pottery, sculpture, etc.… not visible to the naked eye.

    Cause: Cabinetry group and electrician focused only on construction, not the client’s desired “presentation” when all was in place.

    Solution: JH Designs “specs” glass shelving and LED lighting strips up each side of each tower of the cabinetry. Now, this custom cabinetry, with staged crystal & accessories, is the focal point of this room!

     
    A smart home owner needs to have an experienced designer, with technical training in new builds and remodels, at the onset. This person will take control of issues early on and anticipate special touches you may not think of. A few favorites include:

  • Popup electrical outlet on large kitchen island – barely visible! Now, everyone can easily charge their phone!
  • Under-counter outlets in the master bath hides that toothbrush and hair dryer and shows off your gorgeous countertops with select accessories!
  • Detailed space planning before architectural plans are complete, so that floor outlets are strategically placed and reachable. Plus, no tripping over unsightly cords!
